“There are days the body positivity movement does not prepare you for. Like the day you have to take your body back from the only way people allow themselves to find it beautiful, to say that ‘My mouth does not firefly. My body is not a landscape. I am not a fucking orchard or a crate of bruised fruit on the road that you stop at on the way to some beautiful hillside with curves in all the right places. My body is good, like a body. I take up this much space. I am not some sprawling thing in the distance. I am right here. I am right here!’”
There needs to be more body positive songs in pop culture and I think this is a great contribution. THIS VIDEO IS AN IMPORTANT THING.
I don’t watch much TV, but today I discovered Britain’s Got Talent entry Emma Haslam.
And I thought some of you would like to see her too!
A fat pole dancing instructor with her own business, flexible, strong, beautiful, happy.
I posted one of Emma Haslam’s pole dancing videos a while ago (HERE), so imagine how happy I was to see her on Britain’s Got Talent and get 4 yeses!
This choreography is crazy!!! I wish I could dance even half as good as this. I need to take a dance class asap haha.
Also, 2nd place?? WTH?! Did first place just like fly or something?
"And now you have the answer as to why girls who look like me, post pictures of themselves showing their thighs or their stomach or parts that other women are never questioned on because that’s what we’re used to seeing and we’re comfortable with that."
